The challenges in our food system

Our planet and people are facing urgent, interconnected crises: climate change, biodiversity loss, lifestyle diseases, and unfair labor conditions. 

At the heart of it all is the global food system. The push for short-term profit drives unhealthy products, unsustainable resource use, and exploitation of farmers and workers. Therefore we focus on driving change towards a healthy, sustainable and fair food system.

Our research and advocacy projects span across Belgium, France, Germany, Norway, Poland, Spain, Sweden, the Netherlands and the UK. This encompasses the largest retailers that hold the majority of the market share and thereby the greatest influence.
